Tate Modern goes for a spin

Date: 20th November 2023

Client: Tate Modern

Together with Tate Britain, Tate Liverpool, and Tate St Ives, Tate Modern on Bankside by London’s River Thames gives visitors the opportunity to explore modern and contemporary art from around the world. It’s no exaggeration to describe Tate Modern as one of the most iconic, and, indeed, important art galleries on the planet.

Our challenge:

To celebrate Tate Modern’s Mondrian and Klimt exhibition in 2023, the gallery collaborated with cycling brand Stolen Goat on a range of cycling accessories including jersey, cap, and socks. As Stolen Goat’s creative agency at the time, we helped produce the requested accessories as well as designing and producing a suite of creative images depicting the exhibition itself, and the sense of freedom offered by cycling in general.

Our solution:

Starting with The Big Idea, we were responsible for concept creation, art direction, and the subsequent photoshoot in an after-hours Tate Modern, sourcing the right photographer, recceing locations, booking models, and co-ordinating timings. Post-shoot, we were central to the photomanipulation required to bring our ideas to life.

The results:

The successful delivery of a suite image assets to be used across various platforms.
